I am a writer, photographer, reporter, editor, and designer. I am currently a video journalist/reporter for Texas Watchdog and a volunteer for several professional organizations.
I graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Media Sales, and Political Communication in June of 2008. While there I was a reporter for several local news organizations and held a variety of event planning and Public Relations leadership positions in organizations connected to Ohio University and Athens, Ohio.
I have a strong passion for writing, social media, politics, and pop culture, especially when it comes to online and multimedia platforms. I am always interested in new projects, whether it is covering an event or developing a PR/Marketing campaign.
Texas Watchdog is a news Web site and training center that scrutinizes the actions of government agencies, bureaucracies and politicians in Texas. It is an independent, nonpartisan entity founded on the belief that our American democracy depends on transparency in government.
Through a combination of video, print, online blogging, and podcasts it is my goal to prevent wasteful government spending and hold Texas politicians accountable. Please pass along any tips or stories ideas and I hope you enjoy my work!
